What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis was first discovered by a Scottish Doctor named James Braid in 1841.Hypnosis is when one enters an altered state of awareness often referred to as a trance. During this trance like state, the critical factor in one's mind temporarily disappears and thus allows one to be more susceptible to suggestions that may be given. According to Dr Braid, the root of word hypnosis means the induction of abstraction or mental concentration to focus one's mind on a specific thought or idea. During hypnosis one enters a deeply relaxed state which causes t brain waves to drop to 4-7 Hz. An alert person with their eyes open is operating between 14-30 Hz which is the beta level of brain waves. The Alpha Level is when a person's eyes are closed and the brain wave level decreases to 8-13 Hz.
Many people often daydream or get new insights when they let their mind wander into the alpha level. During sleep, one's brain beta waves are between 0-5 and 6 Hz which is the delta level. Hypnosis is a tool to allow us to transform our lives by editing, deleting and adding new programs to our brain. Our mind is a unique organ that is even more sophisticated than any computer system that is in our world. First, our mind takes in everything that it sees and hears. Often we are running programs that were entered into our brain with our conscious awareness.
Hypnosis gives one the ability to load software to break down the barriers and thus propel one forward to reaching their goals.
